We are very proud of the home at Kingfishers. It is a stunning building in a secluded location, yet very close to major transport links.
Facilities
The home has been converted into an excellent carehome, yet retains a lovely personality. We have two splendid receptions rooms and a stunning separate dining room, where residents may soecialise or entertain. We also have a well stocked library and other communal rooms.
There are bathrooms on each floor, including Parker Baths for those who are less independent. Our toilets have handrails while all rooms throughout have easy wheelchair access.
We have two splendid reception rooms and a dining room where residents may socialise and entertain. Or they may prefer the privacy of their own room.
In addition, we have a separate Highly Dependent Unit for those who need more intensive help.
Our staff
The staff we are so fortunate to have are, quite simply, the kindest people we know. They look after our ladies and gentlemen beautifully and have helped us to develop our policies for care and kindness in their own way.
An enhanced qualify of life for our residents is essential, where we encourage them to maximise their physical and intellectual capabilities, making their stay as happy and fulfilling as possible.
Accordingly, we are able to offer an excellent 24 hour service of care by our qualified nurses and highly trained personnel.
Services at Kingfishers
Our General Practitioners are very supportive and visit weekly, or more frequently when required. Chiropody and hairdressing are provided, as indeed are individual daily newspapers and a selection of local papers and magazines. Visiting dentists, physios and opticians can be arranged if required.
We also give a comprehensive on-site laundry service.
